Eutelsat America Corp. and OneWeb Technologies Awarded Defense Innovation Unit’s HSA II Contract

Eutelsat America Corp. and OneWeb Technologies Inc (EACOWT), operating as a wholly owned independent U.S. proxy company and subsidiary of Eutelsat Group, have announced a contract award through the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Innovation Unit’s (DIU) second Hybrid Space Architecture solicitation (HSA II).

Building upon the original Hybrid Space Architecture (HSA) program launched in 2021, HSA II will integrate multi-orbit commercial and government assets to create low-latency, secure and resilient data communication network for military users. Through HSA II, the DIU is exploring the use of emergent technologies and capabilities in support of a of the program including those from EACOWT. Over the next 12-14 months, EACOWT will collaborate with the DIU and other HSA-awarded companies and capabilities, including Aalyria’s Spacetime. They will demonstrate how Eutelsat satellite connectivity services can be seamlessly integrated with government space-based capabilities to deliver end-to-end resilient data transport solutions.
