GSOA Launches New Brand Identity to Reflect Broader Vision
GSOA has unveiled a new brand identity, marking a bold step in its evolution as the leading global voice of the satellite and space communications industry. Far from a cosmetic refresh, the new brand reflects GSOA’s expanded strategic vision: to lead the development of an integrated, sustainable, and inclusive satellite ecosystem that delivers real-world impact across connectivity, innovation, and global development.
The rebrand comes at a pivotal moment for the sector, as satellite technology becomes increasingly central to global communications infrastructure - enabling everything from universal broadband and 5G/6G integration to emergency response and climate resilience. GSOA’s new identity aligns with this broader mission, signalling the association’s commitment to representing the full ecosystem - now including Earth Observation operators as part of its growing membership base.
As a CEO-led global association, GSOA represents the entire satellite value chain - from operators in all orbits, including communications and Earth Observation, to manufacturers, launch service providers, and ground segment companies. The refreshed identity underscores GSOA’s role in fostering industry collaboration, amplifying visibility at the highest levels of policy and regulation, and shaping the frameworks that support innovation, expand connectivity, and promote long-term sustainability. It reinforces GSOA’s position as a trusted authority on key issues such as spectrum management, non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), and space sustainability.
The brand launch comes ahead of the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25), taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 17-28 November, and reconfirms the satellite industry’s commitment to help increase ubiquitous and inclusive connectivity. GSOA has played an active role in the WTDC preparatory process, participating in the preparatory meetings to ensure the satellite industry’s perspective is fully represented. The conference presents a key opportunity to highlight satellite’s essential contribution to achieving universal, meaningful, and affordable connectivity for an inclusive and sustainable digital future.
Isabelle Mauro, Director General of GSOA, said: “This brand marks a new chapter for GSOA. It reflects who we are today - a global, inclusive, and future-focused association championing the entire satellite and space communications ecosystem. Every element of the brand tells a story - of innovation, reach, agility, and purpose. As we look ahead to WTDC-25 and beyond, our message is clear - satellite is a cornerstone of universal, meaningful connectivity.”
