NAL Technologies Launches PntGuard™ Syntrx to Instantly Detect and Defend Against GNSS/GPS Threats

NAL Technologies (Naltec) have launched PntGuard™ Syntrx, a smart antenna upgrade that shields GNSS/GPS to ensure accurate timing and location data, instantly protecting existing devices and equipment without requiring hardware replacement or costly re-engineering. PntGuard Syntrx joins the company’s PntGuard Maritime solution, expanding the same field-proven protection from ships at sea to a variety of fixed and on-the-move assets.

GNSS/GPS interference is a single point of failure for defense, government, and commercial systems. PntGuard Syntrx closes the gap by adding an assured positioning, navigation, and timing (APNT) signal for operational resiliency during GNSS/GPS disruption, denial, or spoofing. PntGuard Syntrx is purpose-built for applications that rely on GNSS/GPS — including tactical radios, satcom terminals, electronic warfare platforms, critical infrastructure, and other systems. The smart antenna upgrade is plug-n-play, automatically detecting interference and dynamically adjusting its output to ensure continuous operation, timing, and situational awareness.

“Nearly every fielded network, terminal, and weapon system depends on accurate PNT, which makes a resilient trusted source essential,” said Robert Bills, President of Naltec. “PntGuard Syntrx delivers a reliable source operators can plug in and trust instantly. It utilizes the same advanced technology as our proven PntGuard Maritime solution to protect a wide range of stationary and mobile assets, without disrupting the systems they already have in place.”

PntGuard Syntrx leverages a secure Iridium® PNT signal that is roughly 1,000 times stronger than GNSS/GPS and resilient to threats such as jamming and spoofing. It is powered by proprietary “APNT by Naltec” technology, which has been battlefield tested and proven through a decade of deployment by militaries in real-world environments. These APNT by Naltec solutions and modules are fielded today in more than 15,000 devices globally. The result is authenticated location and time synchronization operators can trust, no matter the environment.

Assured PNT, built for the real world

PntGuard Syntrx is engineered to offer government, military, and commercial enterprises unmatched protection against GNSS disruption in any environment.

Defense and government users can harden military communication, ISR, and battlefield systems and safeguard electronic warfare platforms against GNSS denial. Tactical communication and SATCOM operators and integrators can defend on-the-move and fixed terminal deployments.

Critical infrastructure operators, financial institutions, energy grid operators, and telecom networks that depend on timing synchronization can use PntGuard Syntrx to instantly add a dependable time and position reference that ensures essential services function effectively should GNSS fail.

PntGuard Syntrx begins commercial shipping in December.
