Satellogic Announces that SynMax will be the Exclusive Maritime Intelligence Channel for Data from the New Merlin Constellation
Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL), the infrastructure company for Persistent Global Intelligence (PGI), and SynMax, a multi-intelligence applied-AI analytics company, today announced that all maritime intelligence derived from Satellogic’s Merlin constellation will be delivered exclusively through SynMax’s Theia platform.
Under the agreement, SynMax becomes Satellogic’s exclusive channel for Merlin-powered maritime intelligence, from vessel detection and tracking to dark-vessel identification, sanctions-evasion monitoring, and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing analysis. Merlin is designed to remap the entire planet daily with one-meter class resolution and co-collected Automatic Identification System (AIS) information beginning with its first launch in October 2026, giving SynMax’s customers a persistent, AI-native imagery source for maritime domain awareness at a frequency, resolution, and latency not previously available to the market.

SynMax already applies its Theia platform to dark-vessel detection, sanctions monitoring, and IUU-fishing analysis for government and commercial customers. Under the new agreement, that analysis will run on Merlin’s daily global coverage, giving SynMax a dedicated, high-frequency imagery pipeline purpose-built to support maritime intelligence at scale, rather than working from imagery tasked and shared across multiple partners and use cases.
